Andalusia Watercolour Painting Retreat 2027 17–23 February 2027 | Casa Surrender, Cómpeta, Spain Escape the British winter and spend six inspiring days painting beneath the clear skies of southern Spain. Join me in the beautiful mountain village of Cómpeta for a small-group watercolour retreat focused on creativity, confidence and expressive landscape painting. Surrounded by olive groves, dramatic mountain scenery and the unique colours of Andalucía, you'll enjoy expert tuition, delicious home-cooked food and plenty of time to relax, sketch and paint. Whether you're completely new to watercolour or have years of experience, you'll be warmly supported to explore, experiment and develop your own creative voice. During the retreat you'll discover expressive watercolour techniques, sketchbook approaches, dynamic mark-making and ways of capturing atmosphere, texture and light in the landscape. There will be demonstrations, individual guidance and plenty of opportunity to develop your own personal style. Many guests attend alone and quickly become part of a warm and welcoming creative community. With only nine places available, this retreat offers plenty of individual tuition, encouragement and support. One of my favourite things about teaching retreats is seeing people relax into their creativity.
