Course Description

Overview: In this workshop we will respond directly to the beautiful surroundings of Well House Haven in Nidderdale to create watercolour paintings that are vibrant, atmospheric and expressive. This workshop is suitable for you if you have some experience of painting and drawing, in any medium. We will explore experimental techniques, as well as practising more traditional washes and wet on wet painting. The focus of the workshop is very much on play and exploration - come and enjoy a fun day with wonderful watercolour. What to bring: All materials are provided; however, please bring an apron, sketchbook, any favourite brushes/pencils etc. Practicalities: The workshop runs from 10am to 3 pm and takes place at Well House Haven Art Venue, Nidderdale. Refreshments - tea/coffee/cake - and lunch are included so please advise any dietary restrictions. Your tutor: Ione is a landscape artist and tutor with over 30 years' teaching experience. Her aim in her teaching is that you feel supported to develop confidence and skill in using the wonderful medium of watercolour, and that you also to enjoy a restorative, creative time playing with paint.
