Some places draw us back again and again.
A Slow Return captures that quiet moment when the landscape begins to emerge from mist and memory. A distant line of winter trees rests on the horizon, reflected in calm water beneath a vast sky where soft blues and muted greens drift together.
The painting is intentionally pared back, allowing space for the eye to wander and the imagination to complete the scene. Rather than depicting a specific location, it celebrates those familiar northern landscapes that offer a sense of peace, perspective and homecoming.
