Lingering

Some landscapes stay with us long after we've left them.

Lingering is inspired by the quiet lakes and wide northern landscapes that invite us to slow down and simply look. Soft washes of turquoise, blue and muted greens dissolve into one another, while distant hills emerge through the mist. The reflection, barely separated from the sky, creates a sense of stillness and space.

Rather than describing a specific place, this painting captures a feeling of calm and the memory of landscape — those moments when light, water and weather briefly come into perfect balance.
