Murmurations

As daylight fades, the landscape seems to come alive with colour and movement.

Murmurations celebrates the richness of the North Yorkshire landscape as autumn light washes across the fields in deep crimsons, violets and warm ochres. Layers of transparent watercolour create a sense of distance and atmosphere, while broad, sweeping shapes carry the eye towards the horizon.

Rather than capturing a single moment, the painting reflects the ever-changing rhythms of the natural world — shifting light, gathering birds and the quiet energy that transforms familiar places with each passing season.
