Create Beautiful Textures in Watercolour A Relaxed Half-Day Workshop for Beginners and Improvers Discover how to bring your watercolour paintings to life with rich, expressive textures! This fun and inspiring workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to explore new techniques — whether you’re brand new to watercolour or ready to build on what you’ve already learned. You’ll experiment with a range of simple yet striking methods to create texture and pattern, and finish the session with your own unique painting to take home. All materials and refreshments are provided — just come ready to play and explore! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to: 🎨 Paint wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry for different effects 💧 Use water creatively for control and spontaneity 🕯 Experiment with textures using wax resist, spattering, salt, and cling film 🖼 Combine your techniques to create a finished artwork to take home When & Where: 🗓 Helmsley Arts Centre 1 Meeting House Court, Helmsley, York YO62 5DW 🕙 10am – 1pm What to Bring: All materials are provided, but an apron and an A3 folder to carry your paintings would be helpful. About Your Tutor: After 30 years teaching around the world, I decided to follow my true passion — painting. Since 2024, I’ve been teaching art full-time, helping people of all experience levels find joy and confidence in watercolour.
