Atmospheric Seascapes in Watercolour Date: Friday 27 March Time: 10.30am – 3.30pm with one hour for lunch (1-2) Location: Creative Harrogate, 1st Floor, No 2 Victoria Avenue, Harrogate HG1 1EL Level: Suitable for all levels – no experience needed! This workshop can either be taken as a follow on from the Introduction to Watercolour on 27 February, or as a standalone workshop. Join me for a relaxed and inspiring one-day watercolour painting workshop. Whether you’re completely new to painting or looking to refresh your skills, this workshop will guide you to create atmospheric and expressive watercolour paintings in a calm, creative setting. By the end of the day, you’ll have created two of your own paintings to take home, along with a new sense of confidence and joy in using this magical medium. What You’ll Learn Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting How to control water and create soft blends Choosing and mixing a colour palette Spattering for texture and effects Using wax resist, cling film and salt to create texture How to work confidently and intuitively with watercolour Workshop Details All materials, paints, paper, brushes and refreshments are provided – just bring your enthusiasm! Payment is on the day by cash or card. Since 2024, I’ve been teaching art full-time. My aim is simple: to help you discover the relaxing, restorative joy of watercolour painting. You’ll learn practical skills and techniques while also taking time to slow down, play with colour, and reconnect with your creative side.
