Starry Night Watercolour Workshop
Sunday 30 November, 10-1, Wath Court, Hovingham
Places available
Course Description
A workshop to celebrate and explore a starry, starry night. This watercolour workshop is suitable for all levels, from absolute beginners to more experienced artists wanting to explore new techniques. No drawing needed. You’ll create two starry night skyscapes to take home with you. Using a limited but vibrant palette, you’ll explore some fun and easy to use techniques (cling film, spatter, masking fluid and wax resist) as well as practising more traditional washes and wet in wet painting. All materials are provided and included in the price so you just need to bring yourself. An apron and something to take your lovely painting(s) home with you would also be useful. If would like to bring along some sketches or photos of your own to base your painting on then that's of course fine. The workshop runs from 10am to 1pm and takes place at Wath court, Hovingham York YO62 4NN. Please note the workshop space is on the first floor. If you have any questions at all, please do email ioneharrisonart@gmail.com. Your tutor: Ione is a landscape artist and tutor with over 30 years' teaching experience. Her aim in her teaching is twofold: for you to feel supported to develop confidence and skill in using the wonderful medium of watercolour; for you to have fun and spend an enjoyable, restorative time playing with colour.
