Course Description

Time: 10.30am – 3.30pm with one hour for lunch (1-2) Location: Creative Harrogate, 1st Floor, No 2 Victoria Avenue, Harrogate HG1 1EL Level: Intermediate: some experience of working in watercolour required. Join me for a relaxed and inspiring one-day watercolour and ink painting workshop. By the end of the day, you’ll have created two of your own paintings to take home, along with a new sense of confidence and joy in working with watercolour and ink to create atmosphere and texture.. What You’ll Learn Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting How to control water and create soft blends Choosing and mixing a colour palette Spattering for texture and effects Creating textures using masking fluid, acrylic ink, granulation medium, salt, wax How to work confidently and intuitively with watercolour and ink Workshop Details All materials, paints, paper, brushes and refreshments are provided – just bring your enthusiasm! Payment is on the day by cash or card. Lunch is not provided so please either bring a packed lunch or plan to go out for lunch. Since 2024, I’ve been teaching art full-time. My aim is simple: to help you discover the relaxing, restorative joy of watercolour painting.
