Course Description

Overview: In this workshop we will create paintings that are vibrant, atmospheric and expressive. This workshop is suitable for you if you have some experience of painting in any medium. We will explore experimental techniques, such as adding ink and granulation medium to washes, as well as practising more traditional washes and wet on wet painting. The focus of the workshop is very much on play and exploration - come and enjoy a fun day with wonderful watercolour and inspiring ink! What to bring: All materials are provided; however, please bring an apron, sketchbook, any favourite brushes/pencils etc. Please also bring a packed lunch. Practicalities: The workshop runs from 10am to 3 pm and takes place in my studio at Unit 5, Welburn Business Park, YO60 7EP. The studio is on the ground floor and there is ample parking on site. Refreshments are included so please advise any dietary restrictions. Lunch is not included, so please do bring along a packed lunch. Your tutor: Ione is a landscape artist and tutor with over 30 years' teaching experience. Her aim in her teaching is that you feel supported to develop confidence and skill in using the wonderful medium of watercolour, and that you also to enjoy a restorative, creative time playing with paint.
