Course Description
Teach Creative Workshops That People Love A one-day professional development workshop for artists. People book because of your art - they return because of your teaching. Great workshops don't happen by accident. They are carefully designed to help people feel welcome, build confidence and discover that they are capable of more than they imagined. If you've ever thought "I'd love to teach, but I don't know where to start," or if you already run workshops and want people to leave inspired, recommend you to others and return again, this workshop is for you. Drawing on more than thirty years' experience in education, alongside a successful art workshop business, I'll share the principles that underpin every memorable creative workshop. You'll discover how adults learn best, how to structure learning into achievable steps, and how to create an atmosphere where people feel confident enough to experiment and grow. Together we'll explore: Discovering what you have to teach Planning workshops with clear learning outcomes Breaking learning into achievable steps Building confidence through positive teaching Supporting mixed abilities Giving helpful feedback Managing common workshop situations Creating workshops people remember—and recommend By the end of the day you'll leave with: a practical framework for planning creative workshops a workbook full of ideas and teaching strategies the outline of your own workshop, ready to develop further greater confidence in your ability to teach adults creatively This workshop focuses on how to teach creative workshops.
